Cost guide

What an AI chatbot costs to build in the UAE

An AI chatbot is inexpensive when it answers a short list of questions and hands over. It becomes a software project when it must read orders, create leads, or book a real slot. The model fee is usually the smaller line.

Three levels

A website bot over a maintained FAQ, with a human handover, is the smallest serious build. A WhatsApp bot on your business account, bilingual, with lead capture into a CRM, is the middle. A bot that looks up orders, checks a diary, and writes back to those systems is an integration project with a conversational front, and it should be budgeted like one.

As a planning habit, we talk about the first level in the tens of thousands of AED, the middle overlapping the top of that and the low six figures, and the third as a custom software range. Your content quality and your APIs decide where you land. This is not a quote.

The costs that are not the model

Writing the intents and the refusals. Arabic review, if you need it, by someone who knows the business. WhatsApp template approvals and a number you own. Logging, so you can see what was promised. The first month of reading transcripts and fixing the answers that were wrong.

A vendor who prices only “the bot” and not the handover is leaving you the operational bill. A vendor who promises the bot will replace the team is selling something we will not build.

How to keep it small

One channel. Ten intents taken from real messages. No writes to other systems until lookups are trusted. A visible way to reach a person. That is a launch. Expanding to a second channel is easy to explain once the first transcripts are boring.

A chatbot price is the job, not the widget

Cost follows

  • The channel
  • Whether it may change a record
  • The quality of the answers you already have

Cheap for a reason

  • A widget with no handover
  • Answers from the open web
  • A promise it will deflect a percentage

What to put in a chatbot brief

01

The stop

List the topics a person must take. That list is scope.

02

The content

If the answers are not written, writing them is part of the work.

03

The range

The guide’s bands are for planning. Your APIs and content decide the place you land.

Before you budget a chatbot

  1. 01

    The channel

Site, WhatsApp, or the desk. The cost follows that.

  2. 02

    The content

Are the answers written, or is writing the project.

  3. 03

    The power

May it change a record, or only answer.

  4. 04

    The band

Treat any figure here as planning, not an offer.

Marks a chatbot cost includes the edge

  1. 01

    Handover is in it

The range includes the path to a person, not only the bot replies.

  2. 02

    Channels change it

Site, WhatsApp, and a desk tool are not the same build.

  3. 03

    Not a quote

The band is for planning until the content and the queue are known.

  4. 04

    A sample thread helps

Real questions, including ones the bot must refuse, tighten the range.

Questions we hear

Is WhatsApp more expensive than a website widget?

The conversation design can be shared. WhatsApp adds account setup, template rules, and the way your customers already write, which is messier than a widget session. Budget a little more, and own the account.

Do model fees dominate?

Not on a typical service bot. Engineering, content, and the systems it calls dominate. Model fees matter if you send huge transcripts constantly or you choose a deployment that is oversized for the traffic.

Can you start without Arabic?

Only if your customers will accept that. In many UAE businesses they will not. Shipping English first and calling Arabic “phase two” often means Arabic is tested on live customers. Do not do that if Arabic is a primary language for them.
